Dr. Sam Rader takes a holistic, outside-the-box approach in her psychotherapy practice.
She seeks to illuminate the internal world of her clients, while helping each individual connect to others and the world at large in a meaningful way. Sam works to build an authentic, trusting relationship with each client, and aims to embody warmth, optimism, curiosity and empathy.

Group Therapy
"On Growing Up"
a process group for 27-35 year olds
In addition to the rich interpersonal growth born out of the general group therapy process, the "On Growing Up" group will focus on the developmental tasks of transitioning from being a post-adolescent to a bona fide grownup.
Topics of discussion will include:
- developing personal values and a sense of integrity
- relating with friends in a changing social landscape
- negotiating one's place in family (with parents, partners, children)
- maintaining career and finances
- exploring creativity and sexuality
- grieving the loss of eternal youth to integrate one’s identity as an adult
Group meets Thursday nights from 7-9pm in Silver Lake. The fee is $500 for the initial 8-week session ($62.50 per 2-hour meeting).
About
Dr. Sam Rader earned her Bachelor’s degree from Vassar College, and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, with an emphasis in couples and individual counseling. She served as a clinical intern at the Maple Counseling Center as well as the Wright Institute Los Angeles. In addition to her formal education, Sam has had extensive training in Somatic Experiencing, Reiki Tummo, yoga and bodywork.
Certification
Sam Rader, PhD is a Board of Psychology Certified Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 23463).
Dr. Sam Rader is also a Certified Crisis Response Counselor, Certified Anusara Yoga Instructor, Certified Reiki Tummo Personal Master, and Certified Hypnotherapist.
